The Director, Key Accounts Europe is responsible for directing revenue achievement and business relationships for the company in designated Key Accounts as well as designated European customers. The Director, Key Accounts Europe develops and implements sales forecasts, sales objectives, and sales strategies to maximize sales volume. In addition, this role provides leadership and direction to the marketing, operations, and product development functions of the organization to ensure adequate and proactive development of services and products that are tailored to this market.


Responsibilities:

  • Thorough understanding and execution of the large account process
  • Ability to hunt new accounts both large and small
  • Develop commercially productive customer relationships and maintain personal involvement that effectively shortens that sales cycle
  • Provide proactive leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of short-term and long-term sales plans, targets, analysis and budgets for key Accounts and Europe market intelligence
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and related performance metrics
  • Develops sales plan to identify new business opportunities by systematically targeting pharmaceutical companies, CROs and Phase I centers
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key prospect decision-makers and develops a high level of understanding of the decision making within each organization
  • Conducts direct selling activities, including prospecting, follow-up calls, meetings and sponsor presentations
  • Identifies opportunities for Cardiocore to provide innovative, custom solutions to Sponsor need and works with Cardiocore clinical team, marketing and financial staff to develop and present those solutions
  • Maintains and updates customer contact database, and generates sales pipeline, forecasts and activity reports using CRM
  • Identify and communicate customer needs to internal staff and collaborate on development and submission of all scope and contract documents
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President, Marketing in bolstering the company’s strong, sustainable value proposition, and bringing that message to both industry thought leaders and customers in Europe
  • Adhere to all Company Quality System policies, regulatory requirements and budget commitments


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Business Administration or related field is preferred


Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years of sales experience and success with expertise in solution sales and international markets
  • Experience in a venture-funded organization, including taking the organization through hyper-growth


Skills:

  • Demonstrated proactive sales leadership and innovation
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills; this person is a businessperson first and a salesperson second
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, works independently, uses effective analytical, organizational and time management techniques
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Understanding of the clinical trial process and the day-to-day operations of research service providers, particularly cardiac safety core labs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and CRM software


Travel:

  • Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
