Channel Business Development Manager
Rockville, MD or South San Francisco
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development the Channel Business Development Manager (CBDM) is responsible for supporting Channel and Partner Relationships for Cardiocore (the Channel Partner Initiative “CPI”). The CBDM has a thorough understanding of the CRO industry and its related services. The CBDM works with channel CROs, CRUs, Central Laboratories and other key related vendors to develop partner relationships that enhance and pull through ECG, Holter, ECHO/MUGA, ABPM, and Consulting service offers. The CBDM shall achieve sales goals by enhancing Cardiocore’s reputation as an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves CPI sales targets and related performance metrics
- Prepares CPI Proposals and coordinates RFIs and CDAs. Maintains current files of the same
- Conducts direct business to business activities including; prospecting, follow-up calls, meetings and Channel Partner & sponsor presentations
- Maintains accurate and current pipeline in sales management system
- Coordinates CPI Training Program
- Identifies and develops new channel relationships designed to produce incremental sales opportunities
- Works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Contracting, Medical, Data Management and Clinical Operations to produce offerings to leverage key CPI sales activities
- Maintains coordination at the project level between CPI and Cardiocore’s project delivery operations
Experience:
- Three to five years related experience within the CRO and/or Pharmaceutical/Biotech arena
- Two to three years proposal writing experience
Education:
- Bachelor degree, with major emphasis in marketing and/or medical/scientific markets or equivalent experience
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office suite and a commercial CRM/Sales Management database system
- Desire to build a business that impacts revenue thru CPI and Sales Team
- Self-starter, highly motivated, works independently, uses effective analytical, organizational and time management techniques
- Able to manage expectations with internal and external customers
- Understanding of the clinical trial process and the day-to-day operations of research service providers
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
