Cardiocore Scientist Presents Keynote Address at 2nd Annual Drug Tracking Summit

 

Professor Rick Turner Shares Strategies for Integrated Drug Safety Assessment


Washington, DC – 23.April.2009 – Cardiocore, a premier centralized cardiac testing lab, announced that Senior Scientist, J. Rick Turner, PhD, PGCE, MICR CSci, MTOPRA, will present the keynote address at the 2nd Annual Drug Tracking Summit the on April 28th, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA.


Professor Turner’s talk is entitled “Drug Safety, Medication Safety, Patient Safety: Integrated Pharmaceutical Medicine.” His presentation focuses on pharmacotherapy, and touches upon many facets of safety within integrated pharmaceutical medicine, including:

  • Nonclinical and clinical development programs assessing a drug’s safety and efficacy;
  • Postmarketing surveillance throughout a drug’s time on the market;
  • Regulatory decisions throughout lifecycle drug development, including marketing approvals and withdrawals;
  • Ensuring the manufacture and supply of top quality medicines; and
  • Educating physicians and patients about the appropriate use of medicines.
