Jennifer Cotteleer

Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Cotteleer has spent her career supporting global life sciences and technology companies of all sizes. Her experience in the industry includes development of innovative business strategies, high-performing organizations and advanced technologies. Prior to joining Cardiocore, Ms. Cotteleer was Chief Operating Officer at PharmaPros Corporation, Vice President of Services, IT and Support at Phase Forward, Vice President of North American Operations at Domain Pharma, Manager Clinical Strategies and Technologies at Computer Sciences Corporation, Founder and Principal at The Decision Company and Senior Consultant at Strategic Decisions Group. Ms. Cotteleer received a BS in symbolic systems and an MS in engineering-economic systems from Stanford University and an MSc in Management from the London Business School.


Lawrence Satin, MD, FACC

Chief Medical Officer and Founder

With more than 40 years of experience, Dr. Satin is one of the world’s leading research cardiologists and a pioneer in cardiac safety testing for clinical trials. He has provided cardiac safety research consultation to nearly 100 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the globe.

 

Early in his career, Dr. Satin worked with Dr. Norman Holter (inventor of the Holter monitor) analyzing the cardiac responses of astronauts in the NASA space program. In 1992, he helped pioneer the centralized cardiac testing industry, founding one of the first cardiac core labs. Dr. Satin’s medical team was the first to use 12-lead Holters in a clinical trial, the first to use high-fidelity Holters in a Thorough QT trial and the first to use barcode scanners with electrocardiographs in a Thorough QT trial.

 

In the 1980s, Dr. Satin served as the Director of Medical Affairs at National Clinical Research Centers, where he was the principal investigator for cardiovascular studies. Dr. Satin also founded and ran the Washington Heart Institute, a preeminent outpatient cardiac diagnostic center in Washington, DC, and he has served as the chief of cardiology at two Washington area hospitals. A board certified cardiologist and fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Satin received his MD from the University of Chicago School of Medicine and completed his residency at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital.

 

Polina Voloshko, MD

Vice President, Medical Operations

Dr. Voloshko has 22 years of experience in ECG, ECHO and Holter research. Prior to joining Cardiocore, she was Vice President of Cardiovascular Clinical Services at the Ischemia Research and Education Foundation and Gentiae. Previously, Dr. Voloshko served as a research fellow at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and Chief of Cardiology at Riga City Hospital in Riga, Latvia, an affiliate of the Latvian Medical University. Board certified in cardiology and internal medicine, Dr. Voloshko received her MD, Magna Cum Laude, at the First St. Petersburg Medical School in Russia.

 

Daniel Goodman, MD

Senior Scientist

Dr. Goodman has extensive global experience assisting pharmaceutical companies in the design and implementation of cardiac safety testing protocols. He participated in the development of the International Committee for Harmonization (ICH) guidelines for QT testing that have since been adopted into the FDA’s E14 Guidance for Industry. Prior to Cardiocore, Dr. Goodman directed medical affairs at Covance Cardiac Safety Services, where he helped develop Digitography™, the first interactive ECG analysis and interpretation system for clinical trials. In 1992, he founded Cardiology for Clinical Trials, one of the first ECG core labs, where he pioneered the digital transfer of cardiac data in clinical trials. Dr. Goodman graduated from Yale College in New Haven Connecticut before receiving his MD from Cornell University Medical College in New York, NY,and completing his residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Goodman is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.


Nelson Schiller, MD, FACC

Senior Scientist

Dr. Schiller is an international expert in the application and interpretation of echocardiography and is the founder of the UCSF Echocardiography Laboratory and the UCSF Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinic. He has played an integral role in the development of many diagnostic and treatment techniques including transesophogeal echocardiography, Doppler pulmonary pressure determination, myocardial contrast perfusion and echocardiography phase imaging for ventricular coordination. In the areas of congenital heart disease, he is an expert in the treatment of mitral and aortic valve diseases and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Schiller has more than 30 years of research experience in congenital heart disease, three-dimensional reconstruction, echocardiographic contrast agents, transesophogeal echocardiography, coronary blood flow, exercise hemodynamics, myocardial perfusion, smoking-related cardiopulmonary disease and noninvasive evaluation of cardiac synchrony. He received his MD from the SUNY School of Medicine in Buffalo, NY, before completing his residency at the University of California San Diego Hospital and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

 


 

 

Robert Goodman

Vice President, Sales

Prior to becoming Vice President of Sales at Cardiocore, Mr. Goodman was Director of Business Development and Sales and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Thermo Fisher Scientific. He was also a Senior Sales Manager at Pfizer. A decorated US Army captain, Mr. Goodman obtained a bachelor of science from Norwich University.

 

Nicholas Campbell

Vice President, Business Development, Europe & Asia

Prior to becoming Vice President of Business Development for Europe and Asia at Cardiocore, Mr. Campbell was Director, European Cardiac Safety Services and Director, Business Development at Covance Cardiac Safety Services. Before Covance, he was ECG Core Laboratory Manager and Director, Business Development at Cardio Analytics. Mr. Campbell obtained a masters degree in Business Administration from University of Plymouth Business School and a bachelor of science from University of Wolverhampton.


Ira Share

Vice President, Business Development

Prior to becoming Vice President of Business Development at Cardiocore, Mr. Share was a sales representative at Covance Cardiac Safety Services and at Burroughs Wellcome. He was a co-founder of Innogenetics North America and Vice President of Clinical Trials at Nexan where he organized one of the first DIA Cardiac Safety workshops. Mr. Share obtained a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Rutgers University.


Scott Satin

Vice President, Marketing

Prior to co-founding Cardiocore and becoming its Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Satin co-founded Assembledge and served as a program manager at Fisher Brothers and the USPS. He obtained a masters degree in Management and Systems from New York University and both a masters degree and bachelors degree in Architecture from Tulane University.
